Position Summary

An effective Sales & Design Coordinator is a personable, organized professional who facilitates the successful progression of residential remodeling projects through the sales and design process.

She/he is:

  • an excellent communicator who warmly and professionally interacts with people in all communication formats (face-to-face, on the phone, virtually, and through digital means)
  • skilled at organizing information and managing personal productivity
  • goal-oriented; able to identify next steps and generate momentum toward a desired outcome

  • technologically savvy and quick to learn new software or pursue digital solutions

Work Hours & Location

This is a full-time position averaging approximately 35-40 hours/week. Work hours are primarily between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Work is to be performed both at our office, located at 780 Eden Rd., Lancaster, PA, and on location at client homes and trade partner showrooms. Once fully onboarded, some remote work hours may be acceptable if desired.

Key Responsibilities

Project Design Assistance

The Sales & Design Coordinator is a liason of information that must be organized, recorded, and communicated to the relevant parties for each remodeling project. This is an integral part of delivering an exceptional client experience and ensuring that desirable projects convert successfully from design to production.

  • Strive to deliver a superior experience by supporting clients through the design and selections phase of their projects.
  • Attend virtual consultations with Project Consultant and prospective clients.
  • Assess clients’ needs and pain points and work with them to establish design priorities.
  • Meet with clients to review design and selections options.
  • In conjunction with the Project Consultant and Estimator, create preliminary budgets, and revise budgets as selections are made.
  • Coordinate the development of drawings and 3D renderings with in-house or third-party designers.
  • Ensure selections materials are ordered according to agreed upon specifications and in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Upon completion of design, attend handoff meeting to seamlessly move project from Design to Production.
  • Attend pre-project walkthrough and consult with Production team as needed during construction.

Sales & Marketing Coordination

The Sales & Design Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the design project pipeline and coordinating with members of the Design and Marketing teams to maintain momentum and accomplish company sales goals.

  • Maintain the project pipeline in our CRM.
  • Submit sales reports to the company president.
  • Facilitate team meetings to review current projects and progress toward sales goals.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct follow-up sales calls with past or prospective clients.
  • Communicate with the marketing team about project details and anticipated assets, such as photography, videography, and storytelling opportunities.
  • Contribute to discussions related to development of sales and design systems and processes.

Team Support & Systems Training

Delivering consistently superior client experiences requires clear, trainable systems. The Sales & Design Coordinator plays an integral role in developing, refining, and training these systems to others.

  • Provide technical support and project management software training to clients as needed.
  • Improve and develop processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our design systems.
  • Provide training and assistance to trade partners who are new to our systems.
  • Engage in development activities and industry events as requested to aid in elevating the design department's effectiveness and success.

Requirements

Communication

  • Friendly and professional phone skills
  • Articulate; able to communicate information in a clear, organized, logical manner
  • Above average spelling and grammatical skills
  • Able to infuse written and verbal communication with warmth and personality, while maintaining professionalism

Technology & Software

  • Excellent typing skills
  • Proficient in Google Apps and/or MS Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of spreadsheets, working with PDFs, downloading and saving files.
  • Computer savvy and comfortable learning new software.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma
  • Valid driver's license
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in sales, interior design, or related field

Not Required (But Nice to Have)

  • Knowledge of Apple operating systems (Mac OS, IOS) is a plus
  • Familiarity with CRM and/or project management software is a plus
  • Experience with residential remodeling is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting salary of $37,000-$42,000/year + quarterly bonus based on team sales (starting salary based on skill and experience)
