The Challenge
The existing bathroom felt dated and didn’t reflect the homeowners’ personality or how they wanted to experience the space during their time in Lancaster. The layout—particularly the tub—made the room feel smaller and less functional. The challenge was to create a more open, modern design within a compact footprint while incorporating bold design elements without overwhelming the space.
The Solution
By removing the bathtub and installing a walk-in shower, the layout was opened up to create a more spacious feel. A bold, geometric floor tile anchors the design and reflects the homeowners’ personality, while repeating the pattern in the shower niche creates cohesion. A custom black vanity, white stacked tile, and matte black fixtures bring clean lines and contrast, while grid-style shower doors enhance the sense of openness. The result is a modern, expressive bathroom that feels both functional and visually striking.
