Dawn and Brian's Landisville Primary Bathroom Remodel
Hempfield, Lancaster County
LANDISVILLE, PA BATHROOM REMODEL
A Vintage-Inspired Bathroom Designed Around the Details
After years of saving and dreaming about remodeling their bathroom, Dawn and Brian were ready to create a space that felt more functional, relaxing, and uniquely theirs. Inspired by a vanity Brian crafted from an antique dresser and farmhouse sink, the new design pairs vintage character with rich green walls, warm wood accents, crisp white finishes, and practical updates that make the bathroom easier to use and maintain.
Project Goals
-
Create a relaxing, vintage-inspired bathroom with a warm, calming color palette.
-
Improve the layout and make the space more functional and easier to clean.
-
Incorporate the custom vanity the homeowner’s husband created from an antique dresser and farmhouse sink.
The Challenge
The existing bathroom was no longer working well for the homeowners. Its layout felt dated and difficult to maintain, and they wanted to make better use of the available space while also improving the location of their laundry. After saving for the remodel for several years, staying within budget was especially important. The challenge was finding the right balance between functionality, personality, and cost while preserving the distinctive vision the homeowners already had for their new bathroom.
The Solution
Because the homeowners came into Project Development with a clear vision and many of their fixtures already selected, the design came together quickly. We centered the room around the one-of-a-kind vanity and made strategic selections elsewhere, including sheet vinyl flooring and a practical shower unit, to help keep the project within budget. The homeowner also supplied several fixtures and finishing touches.
The finished bathroom feels completely transformed. Deep green walls establish the calm, vintage-inspired atmosphere the homeowner envisioned, while white shiplap, warm wood shelving, vintage-inspired fixtures, and patterned flooring give the space layers of character. Most importantly, it feels distinctly like their home—a combination of meaningful pieces, practical choices, and thoughtful design.
