LANCASTER, PA KITCHEN REMODEL
A Fresh Take on a Classic White Kitchen
This kitchen remodel focused on improving how the space functioned for everyday life while giving the room a lighter, more updated feel. Jon and Crystal enjoyed spending time together in the kitchen, but the existing island was too small for their family and made gatherings feel crowded and uncomfortable.
Project Goals
-
Create a larger island to better support cooking, gathering, and everyday use
-
Brighten the space with updated finishes for a lighter, more inviting feel
-
Improve overall functionality to better support daily routines and entertaining
The Challenge
Jon and Crystal loved spending time together in their kitchen, but the space was not keeping up with how they lived. The island felt undersized, which limited both prep space and seating and made gatherings feel cramped. At the same time, the overall look of the kitchen felt dated and did not reflect the fresh, welcoming atmosphere they wanted, especially as they began thinking about future resale.
The Solution
By rethinking the layout and focusing on the island as the centerpiece, the team created a more functional and comfortable space without overcrowding the room. The expanded island now provides generous prep space and seating, while updated countertops, backsplash, and appliances bring a brighter and more modern feel. A dedicated coffee bar also transformed an underused area into a purposeful feature that supports everyday routines. The result is a kitchen that feels lighter, more spacious, and better suited for both daily life and hosting.
