This kitchen had become a daily frustration for a growing family of six, with limited storage, poor lighting, and outdated features that made everyday tasks inefficient. Jordan and John were ready for a space that felt natural, functional, and full of character with thoughtful storage and long-overdue upgrades.
Project Goals
-
Increase storage and improve overall kitchen functionality
-
Create a brighter, more inviting space with better lighting
-
Incorporate craftsman-inspired character with thoughtful design details
The Challenge
This kitchen had become a daily frustration for a growing family of six. Limited storage, poor lighting, outdated finishes, and the absence of a dishwasher made everyday cooking and organization difficult. The layout felt cramped and inefficient, leaving the space disconnected from the rest of the home and unable to support the family’s routine.
The Solution
Through a thoughtful redesign, the kitchen was expanded and reworked to improve both flow and function. Full-height cabinetry maximized storage, while the addition of a dishwasher and improved layout made daily tasks more efficient. By opening the connection to a newly defined dining space and carrying cohesive materials like slate flooring throughout, the result is a warm, craftsman-inspired kitchen that feels intentional, connected, and built for everyday life.
