Project Overview

This client sought a comprehensive transformation for her kitchen. She was dissatisfied with the laminate countertops, absence of a backsplash, and cabinet color.

The aim was to infuse a sense of openness and modernity without completely overhauling the space. While content with the existing cabinetry and layout, she yearned for a refreshed aesthetic.

Scope of Work

To achieve the client's vision, we undertook a series of strategic updates. This included replacing all the countertops, introducing a clean white subway tile backsplash, opting for an undermount single basin sink, and giving the cabinets a fresh, light green coat. The two-tiered bar top was reconfigured for an even overhang, contributing to a brighter and more welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, we selected a lighter neutral wall color, refinished the existing hardwood, and replaced the living room carpet with luxurious vinyl planks. In the kitchen and bathroom areas, the existing vinyl was upgraded to a premium luxury vinyl tile.

In addressing the powder room, we focused on dispelling the dark and confined ambiance. This involved substituting the vanity with a comfort-height alternative, updating the toilet and accessories, and adopting a lighter shade for the walls.

These changes collectively transformed the space into a more inviting and luminous environment.

Project development for this project moved smoothly. The client was very decisive and made decisions quickly. With ordering materials, product lead times, and scheduling trade partners, they spent a little over a month in pre-production. Once construction starts, a typical kitchen remodel takes about 6-10+ weeks. The nature of this project required a less extensive scope therefore we were able to complete the project in about a month!
